Had 2 Zed's now.
05 3ltr roadster when i was 20, then got a 06 Z4m when i was 22 (23 now)

Is your Dad's name adrian flux by any chance?

haha no - actually had no idea who that was until i googled it.
over in Australia as well :)

50 and loving ma z, got it so i did'nt have the grankids to take to school, god how that backfired, they all love it too.

24, just bought my Zed about a month ago. Made possible with a decent job and hefty down payment. 2003 2.5. My old ride was a Scion tC. Guess which I love more...

Insurance is $900/yr and yes, I live in the States.

lol insurance for me over here is close to 3k.

but i guess cars are just more expensive in general over here lol....
i.e. the z4m has a list price of like 130k new. (06/07 models)

is it just me, or is anyone else really hating the "kids".... i had to work hard for my Zed, hours down the pits, up cimneys, anything for a few shilling, saved up for years for my zed, lived in rolled up newspaper in't middle of road, kids these days don't know they're born, owning Zeds at less than 25.... :D :poke:

Nope, kids over here buy $60,000 trucks, so owning an older zed is not a big deal. I like it because it shows they aren't "All" rednecks or into rice rockets. Not too many buy the new ones yet but that will change....

More power to 'em, I wish I could have afforded one back then. (They didn't make then, :D my pal Dean had a 2002Tii, I had a used Cortina.... )

I think (in the US at least) it is more down to the monthly payments culture of owning a car.

Everytime I went to buy a car in Texas it was talk of monthly this and needing to be 'preapproved for credit' prior to a test drive...which cost a few dealers a sale as I refused to part with my SSN as I intended to buy outright!

I'm 37, so certainly not the youngest! My girlfriend went for lunch the other and in the car park was another red z4, almost identical to mine.
The couple who got in looked like they were in there 60's Good on them :D :D :D
