Old Porker

Saw a Porker 914 on our travels in Florida today. That's a blast from the 70's past. Can't remember when I last saw one. Had a look on the Wibbly Wobbly Web and it seems that $20k upwards is the going price for a decent one. They go up to $35k for mint condition! Seems a lot for a glorified Beetle.

Thought they were the forerunners of the Boxster being mid engine? :?

I like the 70s specials - but then that was an impressionable era for me :lol: still fighting against twin white cobra stripes down my M

Original 914 was flat 4 tuned up, but basically the Beetle unit. Chucked out about 56hp I think. Nought wrong with Cobra stripes though!
