Hi to you all,

After being a member since 2011, I thought it time to say Hi. My name is Brian and I am based up near Killin in Scotland, although new to Z4s I am a serial Z3 owner, I still have my Dakar 3.0i roadster.

I picked up my new car a couple of weeks ago and although not my first choice of colour I love it.

A 2006 Z4M, just turned 60K on the clock.

This is the day I picked it up, bought it from a fellow track day driver at 7:15am on the Monday morning and trailered it straight to Donington Park where I then had a full day of getting to know the car, I confess I have known the car for a couple of years and it has wanted for nothing. Perhaps the car is known to the forum?

A real baptism of fire :) First time driving an ///M, in the dry and then the wet.

I love my track days and have possibly seen some of you at the BMWCC track days in my Z3 :)

Loads for me to learn about the new car as they are so chalk and cheese, I have had a few little tweaks to sort so far but nothing too major.

I see some names on here from other forums I frequent so Hi to those guys.

No doubt I will have some questions in the future but looking through the forum you have a great knowledge base to cherry pick from.

Cheers

Brian

Hi there Brian. 5 years and first post. That could be a record. Fiery looking pair of Zeds. Just one note. It's highly illegal for forum members to drive roadsters on the queens highway with the roof up. Let you off on track in the rain though.

Many years ago I saw the Morgan Owners turn up for a formal DO with black tie and Dinner Jackets - on a December night in the sleet and rain - NO TOPS ON - some did have leather flying helmets!

i'd say welcome to the forum but as yove been a member for 5 years it seems wrong lol

Thats a long time as a lurker :D Great choice of car - I like your style: straight onto the track to get to know it :driving:

Top lurking OP!

Can't really welcome you to the forum as you've been on it twice as long as me!

Nothing like going straight in at the deep end - straight to Donington. Brilliant!

Thanks for the welcomes guys, must admit to a long sabbatical after signing up so really only been actively lurking for a few months :D

I followed two AC Cobras into the Harewood House show last year in pouring rain. Both with no roofs. One with a golfing umbrella up. Both with big smiles.
