Old Gits

I live in South West France, back in June last year they dropped the speed limit on all A and B roads from 90 to 80 kph ….. you feel like your crawling along.... on the plus side there aren't to many cars on the road and the country roads are awesome to drive on especially in the Z4... maybe once or twice I might have broken the limit.. ha-ha… Having said that I also love pootling along with the roof down and taking in the scenery.... not had the car long so I'm enjoying every second driving her..

a gorgeous part of the world, if only the french didnt drive down the middle of the road on those quiet roads :? i regularly have heart stopping moments when frenchy discovers a 4 ton van facing him as he flies round a corner with a collective speed of upto 100 mph

71 at the end of November so that probably qualifies me as an old git but I still manage to get around quite a bit without the use of artificial aids

5 and a bit years to go for me but it was always 'ask the old git' at work as I was the oldest by a good margin. Now retired & loving every minute  .

72 in December, a walking stick and wobbly legs but better than the other alternatives available!

True they do like driving down the middle of the road, but due to the fact my car is a rhd its my other half that has all the heart stopping moments and has to pull all the angry faces and make rude gestures at the oncoming traffic...
BTW I found where I wanted to live, living and driving around Europe for over a year in a motorhome... loved ever minute of it...

My avatar gives a clue about my age (60) and grumpy old man outlook. A must have Z4 car accessory is a flat cap to hide the bald patch whilst driving with the top down 👴🏻

49 next week. Bought my zed 16 months ago when I had the disposable income to have a weekend toy as well as my family daily driver.

51 here. Maybe not so old for the Z4 but officially and old-fart on the bike. And at 6'4" my local tyre guy, who I know well, visibly 'wtf'd?' when I rolled out of mine just last week on arrival for some new boots. I said "Ta-Da!", he said 'Bloody Hell! You managed that well!" Oh how we laughed.

When I park mine in a limping bay I get some frowns - until I wobble around to the boot for my stick!
Ive been challenged and initially repremanded in Germany - The usually apologise when the see the Blue badge .

I just think that the general public associate the car with a younger bloke.
