Came across this today, comparing a 2003 3.0i to a modern Z4 M40i.
Had to laugh at them fumbling around with the center storage area :D
Thoughts?

Watched this about half an hour ago, gave up when a 47 second advert came up before being able to skip. Sham was good.

I have never driven some modern modern car (2015+) with electric steering, and it was interesting that they thought that the old one feels better than modern electric steering systems. Nice video.

Around the time the E85 was launched it was very popular for journalists to crap on EPAS to fill column inches. The E85's implementation wasn't the greatest, but relative to some newer cars that get lots of plaudits it's absolutely fine. I drove an M135i hatchback recently, and for all the clamouring and positivity about them the steering was total rubbish.

The funny thing is that most motoring journalists probably couldn't even tell the difference between EPAS and HPAS. A guy who I use for track tuition is an instructor at the Porsche Experience at Silverstone, and did a number on some journalists who were testing the latest Cayman RS. He pretended that one of them had been retrofitted with a hydraulic rack, and the journalist in question (from a mainstream publication) spent the whole session on track telling the instructor how much better this one drove than the other example he'd driven earlier in the day.

The cars were identical.

Haha, thank you for a great story!
"Journalists"... "Not enough power", "Dull steering", "Hard plastics"

I just watched this one, really great video. I think they were a little generous on the price point considering that most Z4 (E89)s go for 3,000-11,000 depending on specs.
Also regarding the center storage unit, I believe it can lock if the car is in secure mode. This means that it potentially is not broken, just locked haha.
Not sure if that was the case though.
