Old dog, new //M, impending divorce & itch scratched

Congratulations Jem, even though you have defected to the dark side

I am looking forward to experiencing how you lead a hoon in an M, based on my experience of you leading in your 3.0

There will be two petrol stops required now with Jem in an ///M instead of the usual one stop.

After drving a Volvo for the last 15 months, I will struggle to use over a quarter of a tank

Steve is right. I think you will surprise even yourself. Trust me, you can actually watch the gauge move down on a hoon

... I remember a similar thing happening on that first ‘Z car exhibition lap’ round Silverstone, though felt was more to do with the corners being sharper than they look like on TV...

Ah, Sepang and ///M power. Fond, yet very fleeting memories.
You're going to have a lot of fun in that car, Jem.

Well David, still remember taking that GoPro footage when we met at Brands just after you got your Sepang //M

It’s having its first outing early 2mrw to pick up the misses after her night shift in North London... Blackwell tunnel, Limehouse tunnel & one Gruppe ... hummmm - she won’t b happy ;@)

...and so the slippery slope begins...

- New Osram Xenarc Xenon candles (improvement but LED bulbs on my other ride are in a different league)
- Cruise control fitted by SRHUTCH last night. Thanks bro, it’s a lifesaver
- in-flight planning:
1. Search for Bilstens & Eibachs
2. Wheel refurb
3. Bluetooth
4. Dashcam & Sat Nav hardwire
5. Tyre pressure testing - door card says 2.3 (33psi) front & 2.5 (36psi) rear, yet seen some posts for 32 front, 30 rear which am presently running but not happy

well, Jem...20 per cent of the Sepang Bronze Coupes now reside in Kent and only 20 mins apart! Got to get a pic!

Which model bulbs ( DS 1, DS 2 , DS 3 ? ) & were they a simple straight swap ?

I ordered & fitted D2S night breakers - the eBay seller link now comes up as unavailable.

Things to be aware of:
- work in good light from wheel arch panel, it’s a tiny hole & with the bonnet open gives extra light
- obviously disconnect the battery
- most importantly, when replacing the high voltage ballast, there’s a black rotational collar. The first one went on like a dream, I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why the other side just wouldn’t go on. Somehow the grooves in the collar had got mis-aligned on the Ballast, first attempt after realigning slipped on & locked

Good luck

I got the same bulbs for mine when I got it. Took me fucking ages to change them, just couldn’t figure it out. I did not disconnect the battery... am I lucky I didn’t die ?

I don’t think so, I wouldn’t disconnect the battery either.
