.... having just agreed to buy this 27,700 miler 23i auto from Stratstone Tyneside . Well spec'd, no iDrive admittedly but otherwise good comms pack, sports seats etc..

Collection tomorrow, all being well. Final price (taking into account high trade-in valuation) was £12,183. Impeccable fully bmw service record with very recent service, front / rear brakes just done, one owner, meticulous records of service work, fully comp 12 month warranty.

Split rims seemed in pretty good shape, and they wouldn't make an allowance for their (eventual) refurb sadly. Brake discs seemed fine too. 2.5 litres I know, but sonorous!

A lovely car, and a great deal I think. (Mrs will still take some persuassion, being not a natural afficionado just yet...)

Yes! (although actually 2, since they've called to say that the v5 is still en-route from Chesterfield, and they need time to do MoT and prep including removing some surface scratches).

Look forward to seeing you out and about in the sunshine when I get to know what I am looking for? :worthless:

If its the black 23i auto one i think you have yourself a good deal  look's great , should drive well & 89s have a premium cabin to enjoy that the previous models can only dream of
Not exactly thrilling out in the lanes but not everyone is after that with their Z :? Navspec didn't bother me before & wouldn't prevent me buying in the future ( low use car as opposed to dailydriver has a bearing there ) heated sport seats about the only must have for me .
Alloys will deteriorate but options are available along the way to snap up decent 19s & sell the BBS splits so may not prove too costly  :D ( a short spell on here & yes it will :P )
Pics up when it lands

Congratulations.....Welcome to the world of z4's if your like me don't put your wallet too far away :D :D always some upgrade or other too do.
But if your not ......just enjoy the ride and have fun out there :driving:

You should be happy with your car once you get it.
We have had our 23i for almost 4 years and still love it.
Its powerful enough for us and at the moment have no inkling for an upgrade.
Just do what we have done and dont test drive any of the larger engined models and that way you dont know what you might be missing.

With bmw's large range of engine sizes & various outputs its not always apparent where they stand relative to each other, can be confusing to many-especially newbies!

Job done. Just collected, and brilliantly prep'd by Stratstone (after pointing out a few areas needing attention earlier in the week). 2.5 audio track, especially driving past a brick wall, is the most wonderful thing about it so far.
