ok, i've been looking at the OEM strut brace the whole afternoon and it seems to be painted "chrome shadow"? like the BMW M concept cars?

does anyone have a picture of the strut in bright daylight?

Sephanite ... the strut looks great ... not so sure about your extra little passengers on the dash ... is that so you can drive in a multi-occupancy lane without fear of prosecution?!?!?!

they are placed there so the general public thinks im just a lil boy cruising around and stops revving around me

Thanks to a member in Florida, I now have the Alutec braces. Got the non-orange swoosh lights to replace my headlights that were hazing up on the interior.

Do you run amber bulbs for your turn signals? If you don't mind, where did you get the lights? I'm having the same (hazing) problem. Thanks. Bill

The headlights have an orange turn signal and its shaped like a swoosh (Think Nike). He changed his headlights out and eliminated the orange swoosh. My headlights are hazing also, so I'm thinking of replacing them. By the way, nice Strut package Yal.

i wanted to get a strut brace but i read once that getting an aluminum strut is not good coz it expand by the heat, so i looked at a carbon fiber that fits on the M3 it's from rogue engineering but don't know will it fit on my z4 ?!

I got the lights off e-bay for $250. They're halogens. I just really hated the hazing up inside of the old lights. I have whatever the stock bulbs are for the turn signal, and i believe there is an amber lens in there anyway.

As for the orange swoosh, 03 and 04 lights have an amber "nike swoosh" below along the bottom.

How hot does aluminum have to get to start expanding. I wouldn't worry about that as much as it softening. There's a lot of surface area on the bar and it would probably need to get to a couple hundred degrees C before it really became and issue. It's mostly bling factor for me anyway.
