I have just had my renewal come in from Privilige,, last year £460, this year £296!! i thought bloody hell thats a first, now i have had emails come in from where i did comparisons last year, cheapest without trying £211 !! (that is Swift, so im not going to jump to fast for that one)

So whats changed apart from the fact im another year older?
all fully comp, protected NCD etc same excess,

Anyone else had this?

Well done, good to hear a positive story from insurance. They are not very common

Good news! I was quote £1500 - £2000 for my 2001 BMW 316ti Compact (3000 miles a year) yesterday by Adrian Flux, I laughed and hung up the phone.

Have they increased the excess.A nice little trick thinking you wont notice and it lowers the premium

Apparently, the E85 3.0i was downgraded recently as far as insurance groups go... or so I was told a few weeks back, anyway.

It makes sense as to when I was getting prices before buying mine, that insurance was half the price of S2000s, Boxsters, Elises and the like...

do you live on a desert island? that is just so cheap

I went with swift this year as mine had gone up slightly,,,,, but no one could touch the swift price...

Agreed. I've just cancelled my yearly paid insurance as I noticed on comparison websites quotes were much lower. Even with the £50 penalty for cancellation I saved nearly £400 on insurance this year. Not sure why its so much less, but I took it!

Its dropped alot this year. All my family have noticed big drops, and mine went from £1300 to £714 :D

Interesting, I'm with Privilege and paid £75 to change making mine about £450 a year but I was getting quotes of £350. I'll have to be careful next January.

Andi.

Premiums do seem lower. My Jag renewal was £345 and actually lower than last year. Frankly with 10 years NCB and nothing else changing that was a real premium drop. I was with Tesco and they said with compare sites around they are now giving their best premium on renewal, not to just those who call-in...

Went to Swiftcover and got it for £240. Now thta's a bargain for a 300hp 600nm car..
