Ok...the baby is coming!

You'd be amazed at how soon they settle down. My sleep was bad because I was forever waking up to check all was well.

Welcome to the rest of your life, it's going to be ace!

Belated congrats (been away for the weekend), beautiful, beautiful little angel. He is gorgeous.
Well done ms inkey$, good weight!
Hope you are all doing well.

Cheers Carol  Home now and the much fabled feeding/crying cycle is well underway!
Hope you had an ace weekend away in the yellow peril :driving:

Congrats.

The running costs of the M will be nothing compared to the costs of that one

Enjoy the times, also take plenty of pics as you will forget the details after a while.

Yes you'll be like that for a while but you'll soon get used to it!

Had car for a week and one day and put 500 miles on it!

Thanks PVR. The wallet is emptying already (£52 to park at Lewisham Hospital for 26 hours :!: )

Plenty of pics taken and even bought most of yesterdays papers for him when he's older.

Words fail me. I really don't know how hospitals can do this. What do they expect you to do, catch a bus?

They started that during the birth of my second, 18 years ago.

I used a Discovery at the time to avoid the charges to drive over the kerb instead. Daylight robbery, completely unnecessary and should be illegal like in Wales and Scotland I think.

Congratulations Dad! Wow. What lovely photos - the top right is very funny!! Hehe.

Shift sleeping sounds like a good idea, my friend's with an 8 week old do it. Dad starts work a little later, so they take it in shifts and he does the early morning. They express breast milk so he can also feed. Aw, so glad Mrs Inkey is alright. How was the ride home>?

How did they all fit in the Zed - bit squashy>? :P :driving:

Congrats to the Inkey family from the Guiseley family - the first 18 months are the worst !!

But we did have twins with whooping cough and colic :slapshead:

Week 2. No sleep. Hates his basket. Only sleeps on us. Shift work sleep. Fed up of white noise apps.

Did get to give the Zed a decent hours run on Saturday though; under the guise of 'keeping her running nicely'. Seemed to work :)

Anyway, here's a better picture of Mini-Inkey$. Named officially today as Huey.

 awww adorable little man.
Sympathies with the sleep thing but take it from me, I know it's easier to let him sleep on you as that's the only way but don't make a rod for your back. If you persevere he'll learn to sleep in his cot but you'll have to keep at it.
He's gorgeous!

Yes, we never had ours in our bedroom. Their own bedroom from day one is the best way to get them used to it.

Agree.DO NOT let them into your bed.It may mean a few sleepless nights, but that's nothing to years of trouble.
