Did anyone in the states see 60 minutes tonight? They had a segment on the Saudi's and oil. The Saudi's are building a huge new facility in the desert to tap into the largest oil field. Amazing!

Nothing against the Saudi's mind you, I just think we've got to start spending more in our own country. If everyone got the mpg the Z does, we'd be much better off.
 
Oil is used in many many products today. Look around the room you are in and you can find tens if not a hundred products that are petro-chemical based. Our need for oil is not and will not go away for some time to come whether it is for fuel or other things.

The Saudi's have reserves of oil that is just enormous. To that end, please remember the Persians want that oil, they are building a military system that will give themselves the might to go after the oil fields. To that end, they hate the Zionists but they hate the Arabs even more. Why do you think they are in the process of making a nuclear based attack system? The Ruskies have oil and with an Iranian alliance what impact do you think that would have on oil supply and so on? Several US Administrations (and other governments) have talked to the mullah puppets over the years and have gotten nowhere. Now, Barry will sit down and talk without conditions and give them what, advice? We have a long long way to go regarding oil and all that it pertains to.
 
Dec 17th is the next OPEC meeting. So we'll see if they cut production in order to raise the cost of the barrel.
 
Announced production cut is a marketing ploy. We all know that most have very little to do with real production numbers.
