Oil problem

Hi all. I have recently purchase Z4 2.5si 2007 model with 39.000km. When i bought the car and parked it in my garage the yellow oil indicator come on. I topped up with oil as per the manual. since then i have done 2500km and the oil indicator is coming down one line (electronically checked). Is that normal? I forgot to mentioned that the previous owner had changed the oil and filter in 33.000km in the BMW dealer (the car is still under warranty+repair package form BMW).
Sometimes when kick it down i see smoke coming out....Usually i observe it during night ride on the ligths of the cars dehind me. But i cannot identify the smoke color. Either is fuel or oil. Can somebody advice please?
Note: the car is in Qatar and the temperatures here are very high for 6-8 months (50-55).

Hi, do you use the proper oil for the temperatures there? You can check it in the manual.

Otherwise these are not very good news.
Oil consumption and smoke together.
You better go have it checked to a shop.
 
The oil and all the services of the car had been done only in the BMW Dealer here in Doha. I had checked the fully history of the car before i buy it. I suppose they are using the proper oil. I went to the dealer they checked the car but they cannot find anything. Shall i start worried about that? Be noted that the smoke is not coming every time. I checked the car in stand by condition and also when i start it up but no smoke comes. The car is driven always insied the city and never been on a long trip.
 
If you start it up in the morning or after several hours, does smoke come out?
It would be good to notice the smoke colour. Oil makes a dark coloured smoke.
By the way are you Greek? I noticed your nickname that is a greek city name...
 
I checked it several times when starting up or driving several hours but no smoke comes out. (i just did it 15 minutes ago).
By the way i am Greek and working in Qatar. Farsala is my native. I dont know what to do about this. Shall i get rid of the car ASAP? On the ohter hand the BMW dealer told me that if the car had a problem they will never offer me to renew the warranty+repair package for 2 more years (i have to pay 2,000euros for the renewal). Do you think this is a trick from them to get moeny?
 
Unfortunately not as there is one one dealer here in Qatar. Apart from that i am afraid to go somewhere else as the car is still under warranty
 
Hi, I also have a 2.5si. If the indicator has only dropped 1 bar in 2,500km I wouldnt worry to much as that means toy will travel 12,500-15,000 on 1 litre of oil. Mine has dropped 2 bars and I have done around 7,200km (when Head was replaced)

bottom line BMW wont be interested if oil consumption is less than 1 litre per 1,600km (might even be 1,000km)
