I am planning on replacing the Oil Pan gasket some day to eliminate an annoying oil leak. (I have already done the oil filler, oil cooler, and valve cover gaskets.).
According to TIS
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/...ne/11-41-oil-pump-with-strainer-motor/Eas1Q3p,
this gasket requires the engine be supported and the front axle be lowered for access.
Engine support is accomplished with BMW's transverse member 83300496852 which I must say, the retailers are very proud of $$$$$$$$$.
I can get a generic support on eBay for less than $100, but wondering what others are using?
Also, any hints, recommendations, shortcuts, experiences, or other info regarding changing out the oil pan gasket on an N52 ('06 3.0si) is certainly welcome
