oil light on for a minute after startup???

This anomalous yellow light started lighting up after start up this past week. I put half a quart of oil to top it off, but light is still coming on. What's wrong with her? :(
 
That is the oil level sensor's way of crying for help. Yellow light within 30 seconds of startup indicates a defective sensor, but check the wiring connection is OK before buying a replacement.
 
It didn't come on today, I'll locate it and check the wiring, I've been replacing the radiator hoses maybe i knocked something lose...
 
Sounds like the oil sensor, I have witnessed this before on my e46, Sensor needed replaced. :thumbsup:
