[ref]Chris_D[/ref], don't bite!
He's been busy throwing random derogatory comments into several threads. :headbang:
He sounds like a more trollier troll than me!
Whodathunkit!

Just brilliant well done. You let yourself down.
You have way more important things to do than this surely.
I didn’t agree with you and your feelings/ego got hurt. Wipe your mouth and move on

Having an education and 30+ year background in various engineering industries already endows me with a common-sense appreciation for how thermodynamics can affect any mechanical system.

Gosh, that did not teach you to keep it shut from time to time? The OP asked a legit question, seems to have a legit usage (I do similar mileage to go to work and I personally hate spending time on commute) and you jump on his throat with that twat tone, does not make newcomers feel welcomed... :headbang:

Just to throw my two penneth into the discussion, my 3.0 E85 is a daily driver, I do six miles each way to work. I can walk it (and have) or cycle but when i have jobs on site I never know if I'm going to have to go out on site visits so I mostly take the car. Yes i get mayo at this time of year but it doesn't use any oil.

Thank you.
I’ve been around the block and I wouldn’t let a forum know it all offend me.
Just because they see a “noob” they assume you know nothing about cars. I won’t brag about my past but it’s safe to say I know my way around BMW’s very well.
When you disagree with a forum ego they don’t like it.

Forums are a weird place full of these sorts of strange people.
I’d imagine very different in real life when not behind a keyboard.
Anyway someone’s hurt ego needs fixing.

How much you know is irrelevant if you have no idea how to present it without simply sounding like you're belittling everyone.

Which is exactly what Chris did but you won’t mention that. You’re just another forum keyboard warrior.
Jog on eh

Only 2 on my ignore list and both partispate in this thread

[ref]MarkG - E85[/ref],

Perso"nally" i would have put in 1/2 Ltr to either get home or garage. See if lights remain, go yellow or out.
Then confidently calm down and check for oil loss from there.
Always carry a litre in the boot.
