Morning all
Just a quick fairly simple question, I have a 55 plate 2.0i E85 SE, obviously no dipstick, if I wait until the engine has reached temperature and then check the electronic oil indicator is says (-1) what does this actually represent in terms of volume of oil required to top up?
Also reading up on this excellent forum is it correct that the best oil to use to top up is Castrol Edge 0W-30 fully synthetic. I have 7,000 miles to go to my next dealer oil service.
Looking forward to spending a day working on my car today, am fitting new front discs and pads (previous owner recently had the rears replaced but left the fronts) and after reading some posts on here I have also decided to thoroughly clean up and paint my callipers silver at the same time, car is black. Then it will be washed, clayed, resin polished and waxed ready to spend the rest of the Bank holiday enjoying driving around the fantastic country roads we have here in South Devon and Cornwall.
Thanks
Steve
