Yes enuff_zed I did. We went out for a run to Totnes, stopped for coffee by the river and came home about 9 miles there and 9 miles back, I waited about 5 mins and then checked it. I will try again tomorrow. The mechanic didn't warm the engine first before he drained the oil, which seemed a bit odd to me but it was a very hot day 29 C, so I thought maybe that was okay. I know he didn't because he was doing it on my driveway. Thank you, Mike.Did you remember to run it until the engine is hot, turn off and check a few minutes later? If you check it cold all the oil that should be in the filter can drain back down and make it look too full.
My 2.2 has the same dipstick as this.Hi all, the photo is a bit blurry, sorry, but the level is above what I always thought was high, it’s in line with the number 1 on the code. I’ve just had an oil service. What do you all think, is it okay? Cheers, Mike.
Yes it’s one of the reasons I bought a pre face lift.At least you have a dip stick!
Mine is the same, the annoying light and that beeeeepMy 2.2 has the same dipstick as this.
If the oil only looks overfilled when cold don't worry about it, besides it will soon need topping up, I've moved back to 5w 40 as I was getting fed up of the oil light coming on
