I'd leave alone and just check it frequently, which is easy to do as you are driving along.

OK thanks. Out of interest how did you arrive at that figure? The manual doesn't make it clear what increments are available or what they signify.
I am going to leave it alone until service time. I think I'm right in saying it's 6.5 litres of 5/30 fully synthetic, BMW approved.

Hi, the oil grade is fine-make sure its LL04 to be sure
