Oil Leak

Hi all, I have had a smell of burning oil and the odd whisp of smoke for a couple of weeks now and looking at the engine today I think it is a oil leak from the valvetronic gasket running down onto the exhaust manifold. It looks easy enough to change on the N52 engine and pretty accessible for a change....just worried about the reset at the end when it is all put back together ...what are your thoughts?

More likely its the main cam cover gasket renown for leaking onto the exhaust manifold and burning. The do go hard and brittle with repeated heat cycles and age. If it is just the valvetronic gasket them read up on how to remove and replace it, there is a sequence to follow.

Hiya, I had the engine rebuilt last July and had the cam seal replaced so hopefully that is ok...you can see oil etc around the ignition coils on either side of the valvetronic so hopefully it is just that..
