Oil issue

Hi guys

So I just start the car this morning and its making a metallic noise and its louder than usual, coming from the engine by the sounds of it, so check the oil dipstick and its way below the minimum mark and only recently topped up the oil (month ago)

Using mobile one, I pour a litre of oil in leave it to idle for 5mins to cycle through the engine then check dipstick again and it's
Still really low.

Looking under the car one of the wish bones seems slightly saturated like something has leaked.

Has anyone had anything similar to this as I'm confused as to what to do next to see if there's a issue here

Reading up It could be the valve gasket cover

Didn't find any how tos to do this anyone done this themselves

Is this the 4 cyl engine? Normally the rocker cover gasket and the vacuum pump are common to leak oil.

I don't know the problem, but I wouldn't start the engine again if the oil is way below minimum - low oil + metallic noise from engine is not good, possibly big ends causing themselves all sorts of damage and you don't want to go there

Thanks for the replies guys, going to get a mechanic to have a look as I'm slightly out my depth in trying to diagnose it.
