Oil filter housing seal? Rough price to fix?

£5.64 for the seal and about three hours of your time

Honestly, its a very, very simple job, there's loads of info out there from the E46 guys about it only the Z4's a lot easier because there's more space and you don't have to faff around taking bits off the front of the engine. All you have to do is take off the air filter box, take off the belt, disconnect and remove the alternator, take off two electrical plugs and the VANOS oil hose from the oil filter housing, then six bolts and the housing comes off :)

Cool so labour time sounds about right. Having a read on e9x site that water pump and temp sensor get affected by perished seal too, wondering if I just do the whole lot. Could do without but if it's all in the same area at least it's done. Csl wheels will have to wait

My indy advised that I should replace the oil breather at the same time as this is the likely cause of the leaky seal. Just replacing the seal may be a temporary fix but he reckoned it would likely return. Quoted me £300 for the job.
