Oil filter housing gasket replacement +

Confirmed that the Oil filter housing gasket is leaking so getting ready for replacement. What other preventive maintenance makes sense when doing the job? Assume nothing has been done as the only records I have show lol change history and brake fluid flush.

Appreciate any ideas.

Would be an idea to do the water pump, thermostat, and coolant reservoir while you are there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I95LurFYbtg&t=423s

Agree with raymond.harper above  Also, I'd replace the idler pulleys, tensioner and belt. If you replace the thermostat then I'd also replace the temperature sensor as its little o-ring is a known fail and can causing an annoying drip or worse

I just changed the oil filter housing gasket, it involves taking the alternator out to get access to it so once the belt is off you can check the state of the pullys and idlers, replace any that feel or sound rough. Since you are in there it would make sense to replace the water pump and thermostat if you don't know their history. Inspect the belt for signs of wear/cracking, replace if you find any.
I also changed the CCV system pipework, used a kit off ebay, I did have to remove the inlet manifold to fit the bits that are under the manifold it was just too much of a fiddle to get to those parts with the manifold in place.

FCP Euro? What’s nice about them, they sell kits with everything included plus video installation instructions on their site.
