Oil coolers

Anyone got one? If so what one?

I am looking at fitting one. The car has been getting a bit warm at drifting days. High prolonged reves and mostly going sideways. Dose not lend its self to the standard cooling systems cooling ability's. The car has not been over heating but i want to stop that from happening.

And an oil cooler seems the way to go. Plus they look cool!! And if it looks cool that's like an extra 10bhp right??? :rofl:

So if anyone has an info let me know please? I need to know what size and pitch fittings i will need. I will be like a Google ninja at lunch time. But if anyone else can confirm the info that would be great.
 
i have a huge setrab unit.... cools very efficiently. i upscaled from the ess spec unit.

Temps still rise with work but stabilise Very quickly. mines uses AN lines also, in total its adding around another 1/2 litre of oil to the capacity.
 
19 row Mocal cooler with Mocal 80 degree oilstat and Mocal remote filter head. All joined together with -10 braided hose.
 
Fitted a setrab unit to my E36 328 track car, my only advice would be to make sure you also have adequate ducting to channel the air through the cooler or it will not work to its full effect.
 
Nice on guys thanks. I am probably going to go budget eBay item on this first. If that dose not work then maybe scale up later.

Its the fitting of it i am struggling with. Not the actually physically fitting it to the car. But attaching the oil lines and connecting it up. What thread size and pitch do i need to hock it unto the car?

No real dramer i think i will order a generic fit kit. And if i have to make adapters i will. I have a lathe, micrometer and a thread gauge. So all i will need.
