Yep never needed to top mine up either between oil services, maybe I need to rag it..... :evil:

I presume you mean wiping the dipstick with a rag so as to avoid a falsely high reading?

Tbh Richard I think given the often almost hysterical paranoia with these “Fine bone China” engines you often see on here, unless the oil is dipped and changed here or similar the car is worthless.... :wink:

Never need to top mine up in the 25k i did in my coupe. Had 3 oil changes within that time but the marker never moved.

I also carry a 1l bottle

E46 M3 never did either 30k in that and not a drop between services.

I've never had to top mine up either. But I only do 3k between services.

Never needed to top up between oil changes at max 9-10k mls, some earlier, that's in 6 years ownership and covering 30k mls, much across Europe, Alpine passes, etc. Mileage now 78k.
