Oil Consumption PCV?

I am having to add 1 qt of oil every 21 days or 400 plus miles. I don't think I have a blown gasket. I had never added coolant to the engine and from I can see the coolant is clean. This morning, I did notice a white smoke coming from the muffler when I did turn it on cold. Then no more white smoke.

Do you guys think is a faulty pcv ?

Thnx!

quite possibly, try seeing how much suction is on the oil filler cap if you open it with the engine running-a bad ccv creates excessive vaccume inside the engine, pulling oil into the combustion chamber past the rings where its burnt-it can also cause the cam cover to leak and the crank seal to draw in air (can produce a whistling sound) Some people have run their cars with a catchcan set up to prove a faulty ccv, what engine do you have?
