Oil changers

Mine wasn't expensive although the price has certainly shot up from what I recall paying! It pumps into an old oil can.

Does it work from the engine connectors?

It doesn't need to do 7L. Pela in photo does 6+L
Just fill it ro 3L then empty., then resume for the rest. Simplz

Get a Pela you tightwad!
:poke:

I have one that’s only 5 litre, can’t remember the brand. It’s a bit annoying when you have interrupt a good flow and do the potentially messy part, pouring, twice. Plus it’s harder to evaluate the exact amount drawn from the engine. Small annoyances, but if I were to buy again, I’d order at least a seven litre one. Otherwise no complaints, does the job fine and also tends to be faster than taking the lifts out and trying to find the note with the tightening torque for the oil plug. :D

Thank you all, I won’t need it for a few moths so I will look around, Chris_D, yes I am a tightwad :D

Would these work on an N52 via the oil filler cap?
No way you could get it past the baffle, let alone find a drain hole down to the sump.
This is why the M54 cars have a dipstick in the engine bay and all other models have one behind the wheel

Not quite all the others - my MC has a dip-stick in the engine bay. :P

Even if some may say it has another in the driver's seat!

Yes I remembered that too late.

Dead centre of the store! I didn't put the price as I wasn't sure I'd remembered it right (thought it said a tenner!)

Yes, £9.99 but the offer ran out on the 28th Feb. Shame, it was a bargain and good youtube vids of it being used. Looks like they have them from time to time so I will keep my eyes open.

It’s worth checking your local store. I.don’t think mine has any left, but they didn’t seem to be very popular. Stock that is left over goes into a discount bin or gets sent to a specific bargains store n the area

I got fed up trying to get the sump plug off without getting oil all over my drive and on the undercarage courtesy of the stupid little oil flap. So got one from ebay and it works really well. Just have to remember to get the engine nice and hot before sucking it out, although this also applies to the traditional oil up the sleeve method.

Thought I got it from ebay but looking at my orders its not on there so could be from Amazon. Think most of them are the same generic type with a range of suction pipe sizes.

Just looked on ebay and there are a load of them around £40/£45 which is a hell of a lot more that what I think I would have paid.
