Oil changers

Do you mean suck it out of the dipstick hole? That's what i use as I'm unable to safely lift the car high enough to get underneath.

It probably gets more out than just removing the sump plug as you can move the pipe around to get it into the corners and so on. Shouldn't be anything big in there anyhow unless its been seriously neglected! One of the oils jobs is to hold onto particles so the filter can remove them.

Would these work on an N52 via the oil filler cap?
No way you could get it past the baffle, let alone find a drain hole down to the sump.
This is why the M54 cars have a dipstick in the engine bay and all other models have one behind the wheel :poke: :D :D :D

Thank you for laughing. Always touch and go with my sense of humour.

Thank you Rockhopper and Chris_D, they all look a bit pricey, needs to do 6L. Cheaper ones only do 1.5L. Get what you pay for I guess.

Mine wasn't expensive although the price has certainly shot up from what I recall paying! It pumps into an old oil can.
