Oil change

Managed to get a deal on 8ltrs of Castrol 10/60 so I can do an interim oil change. Is there anything different when doing an oil change on the S54 as opposed to a standard car?

Did mine a few days ago there is a copper washer under the head of the drain plug you could get a new one or as I did reuse it if in good condition I also used a small amount of loctite sealant but only on the two threads at the head end of the bolt and on the copper washer.

Obviously don’t forget to change the filter too.

New oil filters come with a replacement copper crush washer, so reusing the washer, even with the Loctite involved, isn't great.

If you are stuck and have to reuse a copper crush washer annealing it with a torch flame will return it to it's soft, "unused" state.
