Oil change issues

Hi Gents,
Happy New Year's Eve.
Made a fresh oil change yesterday but encounter a little issue . After topping up & started the engine there was no oil level reading on the gauge, all I saw was a little timer sign twirling round & round with a triangle marking on the right side of the gauge display.
It was only after the oil temperature reach about 90 that readings of oil level started to show. Is this normal or have I miss something that needs setting ?

thats normal, the electronic dipstick will only give a reading when the engine is up to full operating temperature :thumbsup:
 
you need to wait till it shows up and check, if more oil was needed

as far as I remember the service info tells to wait 5 minutes w/ running engine and then check oil level
 
Yes when it finally register oil level it stated ok .
Btw how many liters do you guys used ?
I top up 5 but the readings aren't to the max.
