Oil Cap

How do i get the Oil Cap off to get the cover of to get to spark plugs, does it need to be prised off, i know how to open the cap but never had a car where its fitted like a flip top, is there a knack to this or am i being to carefull, i asume you just force it off.

I guess that you should'nt be changing the spark plugs if you can't even get the oil cap off
