I noticed a scratch / scrape on my car when i went out to go to work this morning. It's parked on my drive way so it must have happened in a carpark over the weekend... i'm furious to say the least

It's a scrape rather than a dent, however i am not sure if that is worse... by the way that's the sun and not another scape to the right of the arch... there is no dent or offset in the panels, however the paint has been scraped...

Do you reckon this will be a big job to fix... will they have to take the panels off etc... any ideas of cost

If it isnt dented a smart repair could fix it.

Otherwise the whole pannel will need doing, not so bad as its quite small. no idea about irish prices, but unless you live in Dublin will be less then the UK ones... so under 200 Euro.

I had a similar issue on my drivers door last year, a scratch all the way along someone trying to park... i had to respray my door

Cool, thanks for your reply... it looks worse in the picture than it is... there is no damage to the panels... just a scrape / scuff in the paintwork...

Maybe a smart repair then... i have seen some amazing result with them....

They basically mix base colour with lacquer cover the affected area them machine polish flat to blend it... does seemless results even to correct stone chips
