I’m going to blame Nick, yep it’s all his fault as he was wanting my thoughts on a 67 plate SL400 which was for sale at higher price than when I purchased mine two years ago. A couple of clicks and a few weeks later the value of mine has has shot up. I have two offers one from WBAC and another from Mercedes-Benz at £3,000 less than my purchase price, so farewell to my beloved SL400 and hello to…..

Thanks to BMW Boston and Carwow I’ve just placed a deposit on a San Francisco Red Z4 M40i with the cognac interior with Tech + Comfort + Driving Assistance at a 12% discount and a delivery in third week of September 2021.

The soft top will need some adjustment on my behalf and I shall miss the glass roof on the SL as it makes for an airy cabin

I liked the red and would have happily gone for one but my OH doesn’t like red cars

You did well both price wise and delivery date after the conversation I had with the dealer this afternoon

Was there any conditions put on the car? Ori has one at the same delivery time and has had some options deleted like wireless charging because the chips aren’t available for builds at that time.

I was told that there were only a few build slots left for September delivery and that I’d have to place an order quickly. The option for the digital key and wireless charging have been excluded, not fussed over the digital key but would have liked wireless charging.

I’m going to post in the G29 thread and not clog yours but I was told today 10 M40i available slots for the rest of the year and must be within the dealers allocation, unless they could swap with another dealer. System only updates overnight so yours will come off of that 10.

Same options Ori had deleted I think, tbh I don’t think either would’ve bothered me either and there seems to be an issue with the wireless charger over heating.

Wireless charging is easily added, we did the same on my son's 140i which didn't have it.

I do like it in my M though, except I always leave my phone in it when walking away from the car. But a walk back looking at it again makes up for that :lol:
