Oh no, snow!

Hav'nt got any snow in flintshire,north wales which is lucky as I hav'nt got winter tyres. Shall simply stay at home if it decides to turn everything white or steal my dear mothers Yaris

Ah haven't you? I left work on Chester Business Park at 13:30ish as the snow started coming down fairly rapid. I live in Kelsall near delamere and the kelsall bypass was gridlock with lorries n cars being diverted through Kelsall....

I struggled to get an traction in 1st gear to start off but managed to suss it in the end.

I work ten minutes drive away from Chester in Deeside and have been lucky so far,if its gets too bad I would even consider walking home rather than risking the Z4.

I crawled home from work today will all the slush and snow etc but Im now off till January 3rd the Zed may be sat on the drive for a while just like this time last year! Think I need to invest in some winter rubber after reading many postive views.

Yikes shouldn't have brought my Zed to work! Passed a couple of MX5'S though so I won't be on my own up here. What are these run flats like in the snow?

As others have said, run flats are dreadful in the snow. My Zed is my daily drive so first sign of snow and the Zed will sit on my drive until it's all gone.
I got stuck in not much more than an inch of snow last year.
I haven't the room to store extra tyres that will at most only get used a couple of months a year.
Gonna ditch the run flats before next summer though and get some Vredsteins.

We have had a good 4 or 5 inches of snow today near Chester so i left work early and the roads were a knightmare. Most people were struggling near to where i live...The temperature has dropped to zero so i dont think it will be shifting anytime soon

i can vouch for that i got stuck in it coming back from knutsford. First a lorry jacknifed at cotebrook, then the bypass was blocked at kelsall, i was ever so proud of myself navigating the country lanes and switching dsc on and off to do a 3 point turn on a hill.

as they say though, pride comes before a fall. navigating a slope in willington i lost momentum going up and was heading backward into an a4 before i knew it... GUTTED... damage isnt bad but a 650 excess is going to have to be stumped up

nice early christmas pressie to myself !

two days before insurance renewal as well, winter tyres would have worked out a lot cheaper

Ah gutted for you. I have just come through willington now down the back lanes and even with the snow disappearing the slush is still slippy. I live at the top of Kelsall where the traffic lights are. There is always parking space around here if you get stuck in the future....I parked on the neighbours flat driveway last night as it was too slippy getting up our road to turn in...
