When I first picked the car up I noticed I had no washer fluid. Bit odd on someone's P&J but nevertheless just filled it up and forgot about it. The yesterday noticed it was empty again. Now that the weather has dried up a bit I have a large patch of what can only be described as washer fluid on the drive!

Is this a problem anyones come accross before? I'm assuming its a link in the tube that connects to the headlight washers?

From the headlight reservoir there are at least 3 pushfit pipe connectors and a T piece. They push together and are secured with a plastic clip. I suspect one of those is leaking, else a pipe has friction worn through.

Bumper cover off is the only way to get access and check

Interesting we bought our Z4s at the same time and have had the same fault!

On mine it was a fault with the headlight washer on the driver's side which ended up needing replacing. Sadly it's a bumper-off job and in my case (JCT600 in Bradford) they didn't order a new headlight washer until they already had the bumper off which made it a 2-day effort. However it was all done under warranty without any trouble.

It's worth making sure your washer pumps (you'll have two, one on either side of the wash bottle) are seated correctly as they're push fit and could in theory cause a leak.
