Sounds like most Z4s only last a year or so before the owners pass them on! Just purchased my 2007 Z4M last weekend, it has only done 35k in those years but had 5 owners who all must have cherished it as it's in pretty good nick.
So far I am loving it but the weather, arrrrr.... Anyway luckily for me I have a garage for her whilst driving around in the wet stuff in my Landrover Discovery 3 or quick Seat Exeo.
What amazed me was the insurance bill, I have 0% no claims for it as it was a 3rd car but maybe it's my age as it's just £350 fully comp with Direct Line. Then I also have a modified very quick GSX1400 and that's just £85. The dam road tax is more.
Anyway fully aware of the more expensive parts of ownership, such as MPG, inspec 2, road tax, tyres... My gut feeling is that I will own this car for more than 12 months!
