Cd will not eject ,saying no disc ,eject motor still working ok as can hear it any thoughts on how to remove disc please

Take negative lead of the battery. Hold the "Eject" button whilst someone connects the battery lead again.

That is how I fixed it for someone else.

It's stuck in the head unit doent have multiey changer don't know if that makes a difference ?

can disconnecting the battery not cause other issues like when a battery goes flat?

No, I have taken the battery off many times during retro fits.

It now turns out that my daughter thinks she might have put a cd in with out rejecting the other cd it now plays but you can hear the other one clicking and still won't eject ,is this a dashboard out job to get to the head unit ,if so how difficult ? Or isit the same cd for ever ? Hope not as it's my daughters tunes and not all of it that good :x

If there are two in there it's a head unit out job, but this is easy. Remove the vents and there are a couple of screws and out it comes.

If it is just one, and you don't mind pulling the head unit out, disconnect the iBus lead and turn it on and you should be able to eject it.

Screwdriver in this position, push down, credit card on the side and wriggle out.

Set vent to closed position.

Got foam around it, so will be fairly stuck.

Lifted it straight from my imageshack site as I wrote it :)

The Petach method is more amusing though :)

The srhutch method with chains attached to it is slightly more damaging though ....

Thanks guys I'll have a go at the weekend ,do you have to dismantle the head set to Get to the cd tray ?

Yes, but there are a bunch of electro-mechanical locks that should stop you getting a second cd in there and which will effectively stop you removing a CD that's in the unit. Fingers crossed only one is in the mechanism and the second has slid in above it.

If there is only one in there and stuck, do not try and dismantle the mechanism, try my method of disconnecting the iBus cable first and then power it on and eject. That worked for me when I tried putting an mp3 disk in and the head unit had an allergic reaction to it and refused to eject it. There's a thread in the how to that I wrote about it at the time but the gist of it is in this thread

Thinking about it I think i suggested that method for removing the front grills, not the air vent.

Could be adapted though.
