Offside Headlamp for an E86

Ah, that's what I've been told by the garage. I didn't think there were variants. When I type the code into Google, it comes up saying headlamp chrome right. I'm now confused!
Panic ye not. Have a look at your light switch in the cabin. If there is only one adjustment wheel (for the instrument dimming) you have Xenon. if the is a second wheel, for adjusting the headlight aim, you have Halogen.
Hopefully the garage would know.

I have two wheels, so Halogen it is. It's a 56 plate. Were Xenon lights an option back then, or are Xenon lights aftermarket? If I have Halogen, can I be confident that the code I have is correct? If so, where's a good place to buy the unit?

No real help here but may be interested in your old one if it has a white indicator for spares please

That one is no good to you. Need to find a halogen one. Should be cheaper at least

Or someone has previously fitted the wrong light control module. What is wrong with the indicator on yours?
If you put your vin into one of the online decoders it will tell you what your car should have

I bought one a short while back

The only one available was in Germany which cost £260 with £70 shipping and customs costs

the part no. is for bixenon headlights with silver insert.

im thinking if yours is halogen it might have an silver insert which is the same with the late model 2005-2006 pre facelift with white indicator instead of amber.

better get a photo of if make sure before you buy one.

if its black insert and white indicator i might be able to help

And there is always the option to swap to black background if you change both. May turn out easier to find a pair than one silver one.

The garage has told me that there is bad corrosion in the unit, which has wiped out the indicator. Can you recommend an online decoder?
