The new Corvette will give the new G29 a run for it's money.
This picture is obviously a photoshop fake - after all we all know that any corvette once moving cannot go around a corner AND stay on the road :P :D :D :D

I was watching a random ted talk on youtube ref economics, fuel prices, retailer profits, etc etc over christmas.
At one point it was raised that over the christmas period oil prices dropped before rising again, and the usual "they raise it fast enough but dont drop it for weeks' issue was raised.
The bod giving the talk was explaining that vast sums of cash are required to enable the green crossover and prices are unlikely to drop in any significant way for any fossil fuel in the future.
He also stated that the extinction of the ICE vehicle is far closer than people think!!!!
Has anyone seen the hybrid trucks they are using on certain stretches of the autobahn in Germany. They have electric cables above the roads inside lane and once the truck joins the motorway the driver extends a 'pickup' from the roof, like a tram and once connected the diesel engine shuts down and its electric. Also autonomously guided/speed controlled by the cabling and AI so the driver does not need to steer and the whole thing is like a giant convoy. Genius idea - what do we get, murderous motorways with no hard shoulder!!!!
Makes you wonder....

Remember also that from 2020 European countries are cycling in a ban on fossil fuelled new vehicle sales. I think this will affect the future development of all models from all manufacturers, not just BMW and not just the Z4.
I am guessing a performance hybrid, that would be interesting don't you think?
Been extolling the potential virtues of a hybrid Z4 for ages. Very surprised the G29 wasn't a hybrid

Just went back to the start of this thread, out of curiosity…

Love the artwork! very much appreciate the images of the then-new E89 model… plus some sensible early comments too.

Then penis clearly over took brain, disrespecting one of BMWs most talented recent designers in Ms Blasi. Shame on you.

The E89 packs in many nods to BMW roadster heritage and remains a beautiful, if different, offering to the earlier 85/86 models.

Hopefully we have all grown up since 2008. Don’t be a cock (literally and figuratively )
