When I was at the garage dropping my car off to have the Cat replaced the other day I noticed an old brochure for the roadster and coupe from 2006. The garage very kindly let me keep the brochure. Whilst flicking through it I noticed something very strange. All of the photos of the roadster were de-badged, including the Z4 badge from the boot lit. All of the coupe badges were fully in place. Very strange.

Agreed, but it usually refers to removing the model/engine size numbers. In the pics the "Z4" badge was gone to from the boot, which I found strange.

ye that sounds right, and from what i recall it was the removing of all the badges - sure thats what the sales guy told me

Mine had this option ticked when originally purchased - only badges on the exterior are the BMW roundels front, rear, and on the side repeaters...

I think BMW thought they were doing you a favour by not charging for model delete

I removed mine with some dental floss a few weeks back... Its so much quicker now, damn badges weighing it down!!!
