I live with a Texan but he doesn't sound like one.......well not accent wise, guns, cars and flags yes but accent no. That's something to do with his education and probably developed more of his current accent at high school in High Wycombe.

Is that the Royal grammar school by any chance or the John Hampden school ??

It a reversal in the UK where those 'down south' look down on those 'up north' with accents.

well in our defense... it's all really about the location. more of the "city folk" are arseholes. :thumbsdown: more of the "country" people are much nicer due to their upbringing. there are a few exceptions however :lol: from both of those sides...

Went to a Texas on Business last year to see Dell. The people in Texas were incredibly hospitable and friendly. We arrived late and had missed Dinner. The chef was off duty but insisted on cooking something warm for "y'all" . Loved Austin ..... brilliant.
