Off we go again ....

Yeah, sigh, its known that they foul the doors.. only by a little, but as you said, time after rubbing will cause damage. is it at all possible to move the seats closer to the tranny tunnel?

not really in this case :-( i just need a narrower seat. think i need to go back to the drawing board on this one.... the stock seats at the top are incredibly thin in width, these are 55cm across which is still narrower than most buckets... the only "ideal" solution i see for our cars in the tillet range.

Awesome!!! love the seats. very very nice. :D

Rollbar install next?

Not quite at that stage yet, need to decide what to do with the seats, ive tried they fowl the door cards, not by much but i think over time the rubbing will damage the seat and the door card which is unacceptable to me..... so i may need to stick with the tillet B5 idea. insane really as they were designed for narrow cockpits ( lotus elise specifically ) shame as they would have been a really nice addition to the car. For e46 these would be bang on!
What seat mounts are you using? Maybe try the vac ones so you can move them over a touch?

I've seen Recaro PPs in these and they are wider still so you must be able to that few mm you need?

My Pole Position ABEs hit the door too...at the very top, which just happens to be the widest point of the seat too.

Can’t move it closer to the transmission tunnel either as they’re only about 5mm away in the position I have them.

It really does illustrate how small the cabin is compared to an e46 M3.

Another option’s to get each door side shoulder shrunk & re-trimmed

Is it just the shoulders that foul the door, or are the seat bases too broad too?

its the shoulders .......

That’s what I’d be tempted to do. If it’s done carefully, it shouldn’t show and it makes the seats very attractive to another Zed owner of you want to sell them in the future.

definitely these are actually tiny cars! lol... any pics of how the rub has effected the seat and door card over time?

Why not consider getting a cheap door card from eBay, then make a cutout with a storage space the seat can fit into to suit?

Edited for another option
