(off topic) Aston Martin Depreciation

Well I think it depends, if its an occasion machine then the E92 is a stonker. As a daily possibly not.

The new ones improve because of that available power with the turbo but half the fun is getting it where it needs to be, the V8 S65 has a similar characteristics to the S54 and its not very often having 80% of torque at 2000rpm is a problem. Although the V8 is a little bit more of a slouch I wouldn't all it an inconvenience dropping it a gear is all the more fun. All I remember from that S65 is the bags of power it had and it never seemed to end definitely a licence looser.

Don't forget the S65 won engine of the year 08,09,10,11 and 12 in the 3.0 to 4.0 category.

Agree and my brother in law uses his as a second car(E93 M3) and he loves it, the S65 is a masterpiece and like the S54 you can see why they have won so many awards, as a fantasy thing though I would love to have the S65 in something that weighed far less than the M3 because I think it would just be so epic then :driving:

100 plus the S65 just pulls and pulls so certainly a licence loser!

Came across a related article on PH just now.

Had forgoton how fantastic they look. 8)

Aston, for what ever reason, appear to be taking the 911 option of evolving the DB9.

Have to say IMO, If my pockets were deep enough, there is simply nothing comparable out there.
