Off to the Spa Grand Prix - where best to watch from?

As per the title really...

Off to Spa next week, which I'm really looking forward to, but have never been there before and have absolutely no idea where to head for once we get into the circuit?

We've got general admission tickets, so no allocated stand seating. We're not driving - staying in Brussels and then taking an organised coach to the circuit, which may limit our ability to use alternative entrances?

Obvious place I guess would be somewhere near Eau Rouge, but has anyone been before and recommend where to get the best views from?

I went there the year there was a massive smash at the start - Schuey ran into the back of Coulthard and Dammon Hill won

Are you there for the week-end or just race day?

We were there for 3 days so it was good to walk around the circuit. Eau Rouge is a must at some point (watching from the bottom of the hill is better than watching them come over the top IMO)

The speed they change direction at Les Combes has to be seen to be believed, couple that with they are still on full throttle at the 100m board!
For race day we were in a grandstand at Pouhon - don't think the grandstand is there anymore. You could see a decent amount of track from there.

See if you can get a viewing area where you can see a screen as well

Oh and don't forget the unpredictable weather - we went with sun cream and hats and it absolutely poured down for most of the week-end :)

Enjoy

Thanks for the info - we're just there for race day - the rest of the weekend is going to be in Brussels. Pouhon is looking like the spot to head to at the moment from everything else I've read. Hopefully we will be dropped off there in good time to find a decent spot! As for the weather, I've already ordered the disposable poncho's just in case!
