Soo.. its getting way to hot now for running on the track here, so ive taken this time to order a few bits and pieces.

New M6 oil cooler (modified for AN10)

On my list too :) Are you getting the diff rebuilt on yours? You've got a few miles on it iirc?
Considering whether to get mine done, not a simple job, may be better off going to a gripper/drexler :whistle:

Yep, but I think with the last few mods.. it will be going as a track only car.. unless I can find a chassis and just transfer pretty much the whole car to the new chassis.. lol.. that said, I have most parts required now for the LHD/RHD transfer.. lol
last few bits came from Dave in Oz (thx mate)

Turns out our diff (like the e46 m3) has free play on the right hand side, so ive ordered preload shim for that.
LSD racing clutch plates (vented) also ordered. :kissass:

Yeah refurbing the whole diff, might as well while the puppy is out. New races/bearing/seals all around (special one for the right) now I just gotta have a … conversation … with my mate Shak, about what this is going to cost to plug together.. :cry:

Btw, any work in DUBAI for your BMW, cant recommend OCTANE enough. Top notch joint with an even more top notch bloke running the show. :thumbsup:

I don't eally wanna put a parts value of the diff rebuild with the gears as I recon ive already blown my birthday present from my missus for next year... :|
 
So if I am going to do it properly, whole diff needs doing.. no worries..

I just spent most of the day checking out part numbers for the bearings for the diff. BMW doesn't list them and says they are non renewable.. bullshit..

Outer pinion bearing and race HM89449 :headbang: <--- not this one (HM89448)/HM89410

Inner pinion bearing and race HM803149/HM803110 (thanks Ian and Ron)

And

2x Carrier bearing and race JLM104948/JLM104910

These kits are available to buy for 200 to 300 us, lol buy them yourself for 90 bucks.

Oh and if you use these part numbers, you can buy me a beer. Lol spent most of today tracking down this crap. :poke: :thumbsup:
 
And because Gonzalis is s freaking genius, and summit racing/timken have their catalog fucked up. HM89449 is actually HM89448 <--- have to Re-order this one :thumbsup: the CORRECT ONE IS : :thumbsup: HM89448 :thumbsup:

And because the front wheel bearing are being replaced, while it's apart, this will be installed. :thumbsup:
