Off my trolley or sensible move?

Hello all,

Just very unexpectedly placed an order for my first Z4 yesterday, gone for an sdrive20i M Sport in white with comfort package added. Can't believe I've done it as my current car is a six month old 3 series Touring 318d Sport Plus (with only five payments made on the finance !). Bit of a long story really but we have a dobermann and of course need a practical car, given the missus had a mini cooper S convertible the Tourer was the way for me to go back in July.

Last November she decided that a change was in order and ended up getting a slightly different car - Land Rover Freelander Sport SE (has a brilliant engine - SD4) which is a bit of a change  but of course we then had two very practical cars!

After a bit of surfing on Friday came across the unbelievable offer that BMW are doing on the Z4 and was seriously tempted. Two hours at the dealer yesterday and I walked out with a shiny new Z4 on order without having to put a deposit down and costing less every month :D expect delivery on 1st March and am counting the seconds.... Looking forward to getting back that feeling I got with my MR2 roadster which was a cracking little car for its time back in 2000.

Only on slight regret, do you think I'll miss the professional media system? Was a nice toy to have in my Tourer but have an iPhone and satnav anyway...

Cheers

Glaikit - welcome to the forum. You made a good choice! Have you got any pictures of the car to show us?

We love pictures

Hello and welcome, good choice, one thing did you opt for the stereo upgrade? The standard one is a bit rubbish @ 4 x 25 Watts

Welcome - completely off your trolley, but sensible quite often doesn't come into these things and you will never regret it so that's just fine

Thanks for the really friendly welcome guys, much appreciated. Seconds are definitely being counted!

Didn't go for the audio upgrade as I am not a big audiophile and tend to listen to radio. Dealer used the option support (sat nav upgrade) to discount further; ended up getting the car for £26.5 k with the comfort pack included as a £1500 option. Not bad considering list price is £34k in the spec I have taken it!!

Will post pics as soon as take delivery, lucky enough to get a car just about to build (code 1200) so willbe 1st March. :D

Cheers
