These guys offer an S54 tune for our cars which on paper looks good. Am only considering them because I already own the tuning device and this makes it a bit cheaper. I started researching them and found a lot of heat in the v8 m3 threads about how they manipulate their gains. But these are all 12 years old. Does anyone here have any experience with them.

Thanks

Edit

Have to admin the graph looks a little weird.

Yes not sure about the gain claims from anyone. Epic seems to have the biggest claim.

Given most gains from a off the shelf job is about the same from everyone I was trying to find someone who actually had this tune. There is a bunch of bad stuff in the m3 v8 forums but as I said that was 12 years ago.

Severn tuning seem to be well regarded, have you spoken to them? I’ve got a feeling the owner may be on here and I’m sure he’s on Zpost.

Thank you, that would be me. I’ve yet to find a company that has spent more time or is as dedicated to the Z4/Z4M platform. I’ve owned a Z4 for nearly 20 years, and I personally have a built engine and high boost twin screw supercharger in my non-M, >500 whp in both my Z4Ms, and sponsor a supercharged Z4M Bimmer Challenge car. I’ve tuned Z4Ms to >600 whp on the stock ECU, and I can safely tune the most power out of a Z4M, OTS or custom. I have yet to see a tune I couldn’t beat. There will always be someone cheaper claiming more power because oftentimes these claims aren’t truly challenged in a head-to-head comparison. We claim 15 hp but usually see 20-30 whp.

OP can buy both tunes, and I will refund him if we can’t make more power on the dyno.
