OEM Xenon Light Kelvins (K) rating?

Just wondering what is the OEM spec rating for our XENON bulbs?
Has anyone changed the bulbs for something else?

I quite like the brightness of the new spec mercs - and would like to see if we can get anything near that....

5400k is standard. Most OEM are in the 5200 to 5400 range.

You can easily move to 6k, but anything above that is really sacrificing usable light output for colour.

I know there is a balance between light being emitted and colour - but from what I have seen on the Mercs is that they are much brighter and whiter in light. I want to try and get nearer to that goal

I thought they were 4300k, personally I prefer ~5000k though.

Maybe I mixed that temp up. I'm travelling but can check later unless someone does it sooner.

They are much more brighter and whiter with a nice blue tint then my old ones which were GE I think.

4300k is factory kelvin rating. They will colorshift to 4800-5000k themselves after 20hrs use. Any better output will require changing the glass lense itself in the projector for a more precise and clear one.

I believed it takes much more than 20hrs of usage to get them to shift toward 4800k-5000k. Mine are still somewhat yellowish, which means that they are still hovering around the 4300k range. My 10-year old X5, however, is outputting a much more whiter light that is closer to 5000k. I do definitely like the whiter light, but the output have been slightly diminished when compared to the Z's yellowish light.
