stupid amp has died and thinking that even if i replace it, it will probably die again and there's no guarantee tht it wont die in say 3 months or so.

so, i'm thinking to replace the whole system to something more stable. i dont mind not having navi.

any suggestions of a setup that will look relatively clean and do the job well? pls estimations of cost of doing the job+parts etc

cheers!

ok so i'm looking more seriously at ripping the whole lot out aside from the speakers and replacing it all with aftermarket kit. rather spend a few hundred and just get kit that i know will last and that is much more modern.

currently ive got the navi setup with the extra speakers behind the seats. so i'm wondering what i would do with the screende. woul di have to replace the dash?

anyone else replaced this setup?

any advice would be most helpful. and if there are any car audio guys on here, get in touch pls.

thanks

If I were replacing my entire system I think I would do what this guy did (at least partially) and replace the dash screen with a tablet. I probably wouldn't go to the extremes he did and retire the servo to make it go up and down. I'd probably just operate it manually. You'll understand more when you watch his videos.

yeh i saw something like this, it just seems like way too much hassle to be honest. i am happy to get rid of the screen too and stick an aftermarket single headunit in. the bluetooth doesnt work properly anyway so kind of edging towards this solution. so a new amp, new single din unit, keep the speakers, keep steering controls and remove the screen.

will i need a new dash for this to make it look clean? or actually, i could turn that gap into a little shelf couldnt i. that would be quite useful actually.
