Some times when it plays MP3/CD every 15secs it stops for 2secs and then continoues the music. Sometimes is doing the same problem when I listen radio. How can I fix it?

Moved into the problems area for a chance at a better response :) Your problem sounds like it will require a trip to the dealer for a new radio,,, the laser goes out of alignment and is not adjustable for the user.

When it stops with MP3's do you just stop hearing it or does it carry on where it left off. If it carrys on where it left of it will be power, if not then had to be between the radio and the speakers.

Just out of curiosity - I notice you have an ipod. How is that connected? When I installed the Dension in my previous car, I noticed that the quadblock connectors are very lose and easy to dislodge.

Fortunately, one of the speakers was not working straight away before I all fitted it back so I could check the quadblock and saw that one of the connectors was pushed out.

Take the radio out and push the back of the connectors in the quadblock so that they are all secure.

Well spotted pvr, I had the same problem... the quad block quality on the Dension is appaling!! Mine is held together with Duck tape!

I have a brand new radio and it does NOT play MP3 burned c/d's :x . Pop a store bought c/d in there and it plays like a dream - burn one at home for a long drive and you're going to be sorely disappointed shortly into your trip. Mine did the exact same thing on the way home from HC and the dealership just replaced the whole thing. It did the same thing on my trip to NJ last week. I asked flyboyAJ if his played home-burned c/d's and his doesn't either. Apparently they are sensitive or something, hell I don't know; it's aggravating though. I noticed my radio stations (new radio) did the 'skipping' thing too, but only after trying to play a home-burned c/d for a while. Then it stopped and I haven't had problems since. I will be getting an aux input very soon! :headbang:

The ipod connector is BMW OEM. When it makes the delay on the songs then continoues from the second it stopped ...

The 2005 and newer models play MP3 CDs. Unfortunately, mine (2005) doesn't list any of the meta data, and only displays cryptic track listings like: TRACK-001, etc.

Are you sure there is not a setting you have to turn on? I had the same on mine in the beginning, and one day fooling around figured I could try out enabling a cryptic setting which I was curious about and lo an behold the text appeared.
I have a 2006 model.

I'd love to know how to enable the IDTags it if it's possible on the 2005 model. I did try pressing all the buttons when it was playing to no avail. I don't have the nav, by the way, if that matters.

Unfortunately this is not possible for the pre-2006 models. I think enough complaints were lodged that they added that feature starting with the '06s. It can be a real pain when you have a disc full of MP3s and all you see is the track number.

I'm sorry, I got the nav package and found it on the screen so it might not be available for non nav screen ones.
Anyway the option is called audiotext (not so cryptic after all - bad memory) on the screen that appears when I press the INFO button ( I think while the cd is playing).

yep, one of the many additional functions you get when you have satnav ... (including more on board computer functions etc)
