If you've got an older base unit, you will also have to splash out (£130) for a new one, as this adapter does not fit into the older base. It also needs the cable routing/installing into the bottom of the centre storage below the CD multi-changer (if you have one).

If the car has the original (as in 2007 for instance ) eject box, the iPhone snap in will not fit either the 3G , 4 or 4S .
This is because the iPhone did not exist in BMW terms then and created a much wider phone compared to the pre smartphones
then as mmm-five says the rest is cost
 
I've got a 54 plate car. Any advice on if this will work or not? If I know it will work I'll take it. Not if I'm going to have to replace a bunch of other stuff though, life's too short :P

Winny, did you have it installed and working without changing other stuff? If so, what age was the car?
 
Hi, sorry I've not replied before now. Unfortunately this is now sold, although I don't know the answer to your question-not sure what year these would fit.
